Exchange/Money

Ipsos has a cash machine located in the centre of the line of shops and also there are many places to change traveller’s cheques and foreign currency throughout the resort.

Public Swimming Pools

There are many pool bars located just off the main road down the side streets, these are free to use as long as you purchase a drink or two!!!

Telephone and Post Box

At various points throughout Ipsos there are public telephones that require a card, these can be purchased at the shops and supermarkets nearby. Also there are Post boxes near these.

Children’s Facilities

There is a small play area in the village behind the main road, also there are children’s pools in some of the public pool bars. Just behind the main road there is a go-cart track. Many of the bars have pool tables and games machines.

Disabled Facilities

Ipsos is very flat although to get to the beach there are a few steps, the kerbs off the beach front pavement are very deep. There are no disabled toilets; unfortunately this is normal in Corfu.

Clinic

There is a 24hr Doctors clinic in Ipsos just behind the main road.

Supermarkets

There are many supermarkets in Ipsos itself and larger ones can be found just outside the town towards Corfu town. Food shopping tends to be slightly cheaper here than in the North East towns and villages further along.

 How to get there by Car

Follow the main coastal road from Corfu town, you will pass through Dassia and Ipsos is the next big town, you cannot miss it!!

If travelling from the Kassiopi side of the island, again follow the main coastal road as if going to Corfu town, the bends here are quite bad so care should be taken on this part of the island. You will pass through Nissaki and Barbati before the road starts to widen and sweep down, Ipsos will start to become visible as you travel down into the town. Parking is on either side of the main road possible.
